Gramercy Tavern
Every aspect of Danny Meyer's Gramercy Tavern impressed me. The service from start to finish was top notch, and their seasonal tasting menu in the dining room lives up to the hype and Michelin star rating. The ambiance is trendy and fancy, yet not stuffy - perfect for a special occasion. The menu is contemporary American food, showcasing "the restaurant's relationships with local farms and purveyors." My favorite courses were the Beet Mezzaluna and the Duck Breast. Pictured is the Pear Panna Cotta, Vanilla Tapioca Pudding and Sherry Granite. Highly recommend putting this at the top of places to try in NYC.
